James Strizziere Obituary

James A. Strizziere, of Bridgeport, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, May 25, 2026. He was 83 years old.

Born in Norristown on May 22, 1943, James (Jamie) was the son of the late Giacomo Strizziere and Francis (Wagner) Bucci. He was the beloved husband of the late Lorraine (Chendorain) Strizziere, with whom he shared a lifetime of love and devotion that spanned over 59 years before Lorraine, “my bride”, passed in August 2024.

Jamie proudly served his country in the United States Army before beginning a long career as an auto mechanic. Known for his strong work ethic and mechanical skills, he was respected by all who knew him.

Jamie was passionate about all things cars, from helping a local racing pit crews to lending a hand to anyone in need of car help. He enjoyed riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle and traveling with friends to destinations near and far, creating countless memories along the way. A dedicated sports fan, Jamie was also a lifelong Philadelphia Eagles season ticket holder dating back to Franklin Field, whose loyalty to his team never wavered. He was also a member of the Our Lady of Mount Carmel (OLMC) Club and will be remembered for his dedication to La Grande Festa Italiana every July in Bridgeport.

Jamie was a friend to many, and will be remembered for his story telling abilities. He found passion in sharing stories from his time growing up on Sandy Street in Norristown, boxing for the Norristown PAL, and his time spent in the Army.

Jamie was a devoted father and grandfather who valued time spent with his family. He is survived by his son, Justin Strizziere and his wife Kate; his daughter, Alexis Strizziere, his cherished grandchildren, Cora Rose and Alice Simone and countless nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his devoted cats Teddy and Talulah.

He was predeceased by his siblings Robert, Anthony, Felix, Joseph, Ernest, DeMaris, Yolanda, Thomas, Mickey, Rose, Amelia, and Geraldine.
