John DiNolfi Jr. Obituary

John A. DiNolfi Jr. affectionately known as “JD” passed away suddenly on Saturday April 26, 2025 at the age of 68. Son of the late John A. DiNolfi Sr. and Barbara (Crawley) DiNolfi. He is survived by his beloved lifelong partner, Marion Brown and his cherished niece, Kylie Brown. He is also survived by his siblings. Charles DiNolfi, Alex DiNolfi, James (Roni) DiNolfi, Gerald (Natalie) DiNolfi and Helene (Mike) Sepulveda, along with many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

John Graduated from Norristown High School, Class of 1975. He was a dedicated public servant, friend and respected member of the community. John retired as the longtime Chief of Operations for the Emergency Communications Division aka “the wizard” and after retirement continued to support the Department of Public Safety in a part-time capacity. He was a former Fire Chief and a proud lifetime member of the Norristown Fire Department where his leadership and service left a lasting legacy. He was also a lifetime member of the Maenner-Chor Club and was active in supporting first responders through his work with the Montgomery County Hero Fund Team and The Wheels of Justice. His friends and family often referred to him as “The Legend”. Beyond his professional accomplishments, John enjoyed camping and fishing. A passionate fan of the Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies. He will surely be missed by his dogs Royal and Papi.

Family and friends are invited to attend John’s viewing on Friday, May 2nd from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon. Followed by prayer services at the Volpe Funeral Home 707 W Germantown Pike at Whitehall Rd, East Norriton. Burial will be private. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in John’s memory may be made to the Norristown Fairmount Fire Department or the Montgomery County Hero Fund.
