John Ferreri Obituary

John Ferreri passed away on May 5, 2021 at the age of 75. He was born in Norristown to Henrietta Derfler and Michael Ferreri on May 30, 1945. John graduated from Norristown High School in 1964 and played on various sports teams. After high school, he enlisted in the US Navy to serve in the Vietnam War on the USS Skate until his honorable discharge with top security clearance. Until 2003, he owned and operated car dealerships in Germantown, Norristown, Jeffersonville, and New Hanover. He went on to become a correctional officer at the Montgomery County Correctional Facility until 2015 when he retired. After retirement, he worked at Giant Food Store in the bakery until 2020. John was a devoted husband to Diane, married in 1976, and caring father to Kaitlyn, born in 1998. John loved to cook Sunday dinners, go fishing, and take trips to Ocean City, NJ and Richmond, VA. However, he loved his family and being a father most of all. He was known for his wit and humor and seen as a hero to many. 
John was pre-deceased by his parents, father-in-law Felix, brothers Joey and Bobby, brother-in-law Joey, and nephew Rob. He is survived by wife Diane, daughter Kaitlyn, mother-in-law Marie, brother Michael, brother-in-laws Felix and Jimmy, sister-in-laws, and several nieces and nephews.
