John P. Lawler “Jack” passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on December 21, 2020 he was 87 years old. Jack was born in Norristown on February 16, 1933 to the late John and Rosalie (McCabe) Lawler. He was a member of St. Titus Church. Jack loved his family and enjoyed life to the fullest including spending time together over great meals and watching his favorite sports teams the Philadelphia Eagles and the Notre Dame fighting Irish. While a resident of East Norriton for over 60 years he split his time staying at his home away from home, Avalon, New Jersey. Jack also served in the United States Air Force.
Jack worked in the transportation industry. After retiring from Fleming Foods he started his second career and subsequently retired from the Pennsylvania State Liquor Control Board.
He is survived by his wife Lorraine (Benkovich), daughter Kelly Lawler, son Jack (Lisa) Lawler, 2 grandchildren Jack and Michael Lawler.
Funeral services will be private. Burial will take place at St. Patrick’s Cemetery where military honors will be rendered. A celebration of life service and mass will be held at a later date for relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a memorial donation to the American Heart Association.
