John J. Nave Jr.

John J. Nave Jr., 65, of Plymouth Meeting passed away on May 10, 2023, surrounded by his loving family at Pennsylvania Hospital.  He was born on February 12,1958 in Norristown to his late parents, Catherine (Cirafesi) Nave and John J Nave Sr.  

He was the devoted husband to Deb (Phyllis) Nave of 47 years, and the loving father of Kerri Ann (Christopher) Magnus, Christi Nave, and Melissa (Craig) Cimino.  He was also Pop-Pop to his nine grandchildren who adored him; Justin (20), Ashley (18), Dominic (15), Elizabeth (15), Siena (15), Anthony (14), Talia (13), Vincent (10), and Nico (10).  He was brother to Robert (Dawn) Nave, Joseph Nave, and predeceased by his brother Thomas Nave. John is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, extended family, and cherished friends.  

John loved all things sports, especially football, and was an athlete himself at both Holy Saviour School and Bishop Kenrick.  He continued to share his love of sports with the many children he coached, along with his brother Rob, in the Holy Saviour community.  He loved to watch his Phillies and complain about his Eagles.  He was also the best at game night, leaving everyone with lasting memories of laughs and one-liners! 

John’s greatest joy and accomplishment in life was his family, especially spending summers in Ocean City, NJ and celebrating the Italian traditions of Christmas Eve. Because of him, these are the most cherished traditions of his loved ones. John was the strong loving patriarch of his family, and he has left a lasting legacy for his children and grandchildren to carry on. 

He was a dedicated, life-long parishioner of Holy Saviour Church and was devoted to the Blessed Mother.  He was a member of the MSS lodge and served several years as their feast chairman.  John worked many years at PECO and then at the Piazza Auto Group where he retired.  

Family and friends are invited to attend the viewing for John on Tuesday May 16 from 8:30am-10:15am at Holy Saviour Church, 407 E. Main St., Norristown. Funeral Mass will follow the viewing at 10:30am. Burial will take place at the St. Patrick’s Cemetery Mausoleum, East Norriton.
