John S. Posen passed away on Tuesday, January 27, 2026. He was 79 years old.
Mr. Posen was a longtime resident of Blue Bell. He owned and operated John S. Posen & Son Inc. in Blue Bell for over 50years, serving the community with dedication and pride.
John was a veteran of the United States Air Force and a faithful member of St. John Lutheran Church in Blue Bell.
He was also a dedicated firefighter and lifelong public servant with the Centre Square Fire Company, where he served as former Fire Chief and Chief Engineer. His commitment to protecting his community was one of the great passions of his life.
John was a member of the Lionel Train Collectors Club and greatly enjoyed attending train shows and sharing his love of trains with others.
Born in Norristown on October 14, 1946, John was the son of the late Stanley and Helen (Roth) Posen.
He was the beloved husband of Cheryl (Gresh) Posen. He is survived by his son, Jonathan Posen and his wife Samantha; his daughters, Patricia Becht and her husband Louis, and Jillian Posen and her husband Peter Harris; his sister, Beth Marsh and her husband Rick; and his cherished grandchildren, Emma and Taylor. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to attend a viewing on Tuesday evening, February 3, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Wednesday, February 4, at 11:00 AM. Both services will take place at St. John Lutheran Church, located at 1802 Skippack Pike, Blue Bell, PA.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
