Joseph Almeida

Joseph Almeida passed away peacefully on January 10, 2023; he was 86 years old.  Joseph was born in Norristown, PA on April 13, 1936, to the late Henry and Angeline (Mazzarella) Almeida.  He was raised in Black Horse and attended Norristown High School. From an early age Joe had a love for music and learned to play the accordion and the drums. He was an former band member playing mostly in Wildwood and other shore points.  Joe loved sports and was an avid fan of the Philadelphia Phillies.  He had a detailed memory and loved to tell stories about his experiences and people he had met. He is survived by his sister, Mary West, 2 nieces Suzanne Hammaker (Mark), and Sharisse West, a cousin, Lin Fusaro and many great nieces and nephews as well as cousins.  As per Joe’s request we will be holding a private memorial ceremony with only family members present.
