Joseph M. Simber

Joseph Simber passed away on August 1st, 2023 at the age of 90 following a battle with various illnesses. Born February 21, 1933 to the late Mary (Balcer) Simber and adopted by his step-father Michael Simber, Joe was the beloved husband of Theresa (Verguldi/Falco) Simber for 34 years.

Joe’s children – Chris (Elaine), Kathy, Matt, Debbie (pre-deceased), Joe (pre-deceased) and his children by marriage – Joseph (Betty) Falco, Maria (Carl) Reichert and Gus (Rosie) Falco will all miss his love of family and family gatherings. Joe enjoyed fishing, the beach, boats (really anything nautical), trains, puzzles and Theresa’s cooking.

Joe’s grandchildren – Deneka, CJ (Jennie), Danielle, Nikki and Rae, as well as Mia, Donnie, Beth, Sarah, Joshua, Tom, Jonathan, Jessica, David, Alex and Charlie – will miss beating him at cards, his dad-jokes and his quiet patience while he fixed all their toys.  Joe’s great-grandchild Carter will miss visiting and petting the cat.

Joe was born and raised in Philadelphia, immensely enjoyed serving in the Army from April of 1953 thru April 1955 as a Battery Clerk, graduated from Penn Institute of Technology in 1959 and worked as an Electrical Engineer for many years.

Relatives and friends are invited to Joseph’s funeral mass on Friday August 4 at 11:30 a.m. Condolences for family and friends will be held from 11:00 to 11:30 a.m at St Mary’s RC Church, located at 40 Spring Mt Rd., Schwenksville, PA; interment to follow at St. Patrick’s Mausoleum, 2400 DeKalb Pike, Norristown, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St Mary’s Church.
