Josephine Sadacca

On January 14, 2021 Josephine Guido Sadacca passed away at the age of 96.  Josephine was born July 24, 1924 in Youngstown, Ohio to Antonio and Caterina Guido.  Josie is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Leon Sadacca, brother Frank, sister—in-law Beatrice and nephew Anthony Guido.  She is survived by three nieces, Janet Walpole, husband Robert, Joanne Guido and Loretta McGill, husband John. 

She is survived by nine great nieces and nephews and fifteen great, great nieces and nephews.

Josephine was a soprano opera singer and performed throughout the United States, South America and Europe. She studied under Armando Agnini ad Henry Butler. She also was a stage director for many productions in New York and Philadelphia.  Josephines first professional appearance was as Gretel in “Hansel and Gretel” at the Brooklyn Academy of Music.

Burial will be February  3 at noon, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Mass will be held at a later date
