Julia J Whitehead

Julia J. Whitehead (Wilby), 87, of Schwenksville, passed away on
Wednesday, February 19, 2025. Born in Philadelphia on March 10, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Julia Marcelewski. She lived in Norristown for over 40 years before moving to Schwenksville, where she was a devoted member of Saint Mary's Church. Julia found joy in gardening, cooking, collecting antiques, and decorating her home for the holidays. She was the beloved wife of the late Ralph Whitehead. She is survived by her children: James Wilby, Scott Wilby (Colleen Price), JoAnne Hoy (Matt Radatti), and Charlotte Reese; her sister, Charlotte Nolan; and her daughter-in-law, Cynthia Wilby, wife of the late Michael Wilby. She was a loving grandmother to ten grandchildren and a proud great-grandmother to eight great- grandchildren. She will also be deeply missed by her many nieces, nephews, and cherished friends. Julia was predeceased by her sons, Michael Wilby and Robert Leroy Wilby Jr.; her grandson, Michael Marinello; and her brother, Peter Marcelewski. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Monday, February 24, from 9:30 to 10:30 AM, followed by a prayer service. Interment will take place at St. Patrick Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Volpe Funeral Home.
