Kenneth Nelson Obituary

Kenneth G. Nelson of West Norriton, PA.  passed away on Friday, July 8, 2022, he just celebrated his 70th birthday. Kenneth was born in North Jersey on May 3, 1952, and was the son of the late Eugene and Bernadette (King) Nelson.

He moved to the Bronx, New York as an infant where he was raised. Ken was a proud New Yorker and Yankees fan. Ken attended St. Raymond’s High School in the Bronx NY, he was a standout basketball player and overall talented athlete.  He went on to attend St. Leo’s College in St. Leo’s, FL.  While there, Ken earned degrees in psychology and met his wife Lucia “Cia”.  After graduation Ken and Cia followed their dreams and moved to California where they would have many adventures and start their family.  Ken was a retired therapist last employed at Valley Forge Hospital and a true humanitarian.  He believed in the power of community, second chances, giving back, and serving those in need.  Ken was a fighter; his 5-year battle with pancreatic cancer was a true testament to his will, spirit and strength and was nothing short of admirable.

He survived by his beloved wife Cia (Fusco) Nelson, his two daughters Erika Nelson and Jessica Nelson and the love of his life his grandson, Zachary Nelson.  Ken enjoyed spending his time with family and friends, days on the beach, fishing, and nature.
