Kessler “Tony” Giles, 68, passed away in his home with family by his side on Sunday, April 5, 2020.
Tony, son of the late Kessler and Clarise Giles, was born in Havre de Grace, MD on May 15, 1951. He attended Aberdeen High School and continued his education at Temple University where he was a wide receiver for the Owls.
After relocating to upstate New York, Tony married Karen (Bondi). The couple raised their two daughters in Altamont, NY for over 20 years before returning to Pennsylvania.
While Tony had a rich professional career as a chemical salesman both domestic and international (traveling to South America, Asia, and Australia), co-owner with his wife of their real estate brokerage, KGiles Associates, and driving for the Student Transportation Authority part-time during his medical treatments, his true passions included his family, golfing and most of all his love for Jesus Christ. During his 6+ year battle with cancer and the many health complications that cancer and subsequent treatments brought, Tony was a living testimony who was willing to share the word of God with anyone.
Tony is survived by his wife of 34 years, Karen Giles, daughters Jessica (Richard) Cellini of Schenectady, NY and Karley (Nate) Ash of Charleston, SC, granddaughter Sophia Cellini, and his siblings and their families: Barbara Scott, Ronald Giles, Clifford Giles, Rachel Ezell, Sandra “Jennifer” Cole, David Giles, Carol Bradley, Gary Giles, Daniel Giles, and Donna Giles. In addition to his parents, Tony is predeceased by his brother, Larry Giles.
Due to the current world health crisis, a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
