Lee A. Barnshaw, of Blue Bell, passed away on Sunday, January 25, 2026. He was 79 years old.
Born September 16, 1946, Lee was the beloved son of the late Stanley and Ruth (McCreary) Barnshaw.
Lee proudly served his country in the United States Navy, completing three tours in the Pacific on the USS Southerland DD-743 during the Vietnam War. In recognition of his honorable service, he earned several medals, including the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal and the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal.
Following his military service, Lee built a long and dedicated career as a Maintenance Electrician. He worked for several companies over the years, including Quaker Chemical Corporation, Handy & Harman, and Johnson Matthey, where he was known for his strong work ethic and practical skills.
Lee excelled at home improvement projects and accomplished many. After his retirement, he enjoyed traveling in his motorhome, fishing, and watchingPhillies’ baseball games. He enjoyed meeting people, always keeping himself active and engaged.
Above all else, Lee loved his family. He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Anne (Jankowski) Barnshaw, his two sons, Michael Barnshaw (Shannon) and Stephen Barnshaw, his sister, Carol Berkheimer, and nephews and nieces.
Services for Lee will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Funeral arrangements are under the care of the Volpe Funeral Home.
