Celebrating the Life of Linda M. Dimitry Kidd
Linda M. Dimitry Kidd, 61, Of East Norriton, PA, Passed away on December 15, 2024.
Linda M. Dimitry Kidd, the strong-willed heart and soul of the Kidd household, left us on December 15, 2024. Born on June 9, 1963 in Long Island New York, Linda was the perfect example of tough love, never afraid to tell it like it is, often with a colorful vocabulary that would make a sailor blush.
Survived by her beloved family: husband, Norman R. Kidd Jr.; son, Nathan Kidd (Jennifer); daughter, Samantha Kidd(Loriann); brother, Steven Dimitry (Lisa); sister, Dannine Dimitry-Carpentier (Ray); and cherished grandchildren Aleeah,Nicholas and Kinsley, and many nieces, and nephews. Linda was a pillar of strength and wisdom. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Mary Dimitry, who are surely awaiting her with open arms and a pasta dish.
Linda earned her bachelor's degree in science and computer engineering and a minor in electrical engineering at Philadelphia University in 1985 and built a successful career as a computer programmer engineer, lead testing engineer and supervisor at Lockheed Martin. She was highly respected in her field and known for her expertise and leadership.
Linda found immense joy in watching her children and grandchildren participate in sports like softball, baseball, hockey, basketball, and soccer. Her encouragement and pride in their accomplishments were unmatched.
Linda was passionate about cooking, gardening, and arts and crafts. Her Sunday dinners were legendary, filled with laughter, hearty meals, and a few choice words. Her garden was a masterpiece, reflecting her care and dedication. And her crafts, always done with meticulous detail, were tokens of her love.
A celebration of Linda’s life will be held on December 22, 2024, at 1:00 PM at Jeffersonville Golf Club, 2400 W Main St Norristown, PA 19403, where family and friends will gather to share stories, laugh, and remember her larger-than-life presence.
