Lucienne Pierre passed away peacefully on Tuesday June 24, 2025 at the age of 95.
A longtime resident of Philadelphia, Ms. Pierre was a retired self-employed seamstress, known for her skillful hands and kind heart. She had a deep love for cooking and sewing, passions she shared generously with family and friends throughout her life.
Lucienne was born on January 4, 1930 in Jérémie, Haiti to the late Thermelus and Christianne Jean Pierre, née Baptiste. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Margareth and son-in-law Gerard Elie; her cherished grandchildren: Sageline Fleurimar and husband Junior, Magath Elie, Medgine Griffin and husband Jeremy, and Gerardine Elie; and her great-grandchildren, Joshua and Samuel Fleurimar.
Lucienne also leaves behind nieces and nephews: Jean Evans Louis and wife Regina Leslie, Jean Evens Louis, Gerde Louis and husband David Joseph; grand-nieces and nephews: Lucinah and Tathiana Joseph, Olivia and Philip Louis. She is also survived by her brother-in-law, Jean Fritz Louis, Marie Immacula Jean Pierre, and many other nieces and nephews in Haiti.
Family and friends are invited to gather on Thursday, July 3, from 10:00 to 10:30AM, with a prayer service beginning at 11AM at the Volpe Funeral Home, 707 W. Germantown Pike at Whitehall Road, East Norriton. Interment will follow at St. Patrick’s Cemetery.
