Luigino Salvati

Luigino Salvati, of Plymouth Meeting, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 14, 2025. He was 88 years old.

Born on May 6, 1937, in Ascoli Piceno, Italy, Luigino was the beloved son of the late Umberto and Maria (Forcina) Salvati. He was a devoted member of Holy Saviour Church, the M.S.S. Club, and the Teamsters Union.

Luigino had a deep love for gardening and Italian soccer and was an avid and lifelong fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers. Above all, he cherished time spent with his family.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Salvatrice (Fiore) Salvati; his son, Umberto Salvati and his wife Mary Beth; his daughters, Maria Makozy and her husband Gregory, and Linda Salvati and her significant other David Eltz. He was a proud grandfather to Lauren, Gregory, Nicholas, and Angelina.

Luigino was predeceased by his sister, Maria Pia. He is also survived by his brother Dalmazio Salvati.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his visitation on Thursday, December 18, 2025, from 8:45 to 9:45 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Saviour Church, 407 Main Street, Norristown, PA 19401. Interment will follow at St. Patrick’s Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Holy Saviour Church or in the form of Mass cards at the address listed above.
