Maria Capone passed away peacefully on January 1, 2026, at Phoenixville Hospital. She was 83 years old. Maria was born on December 26, 1942, in Montella, Italy, to the late Generoso and Annunziata Chieffo.
Maria dedicated her life to her family. She took pride in her work as a seamstress. She had joy in her life, cooking, knitting, and crocheting. But above all, she cherished spending time with her grandchildren, who were the center of her world.
She was married to her late husband Giovannino Capone.
She is survived by her son, Moreno Capone (Jennifer); her daughter, Maria Rosaria Capone; and her brothers, Serafino and Giovanni. She is also survived by six beloved grandchildren, Angelica, Oriana (Nicholas), Beatrice, Gabriela, Gabriel, and Giuliana, as well as one great-grandchild, Luca.
Family and friends are invited to gather on Friday, January 30, from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Saviour Church, 407 E. Main Street, Norristown. Burial will be private.
