MaryEllen B Hoffman

MaryEllen B. Hoffman, 93, of Lansdale, PA, passed away on August 4, 2026. She was the beloved wife of the late Lawrence P. Hoffman, who preceded her in death in 1997.

Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Mary Alice (Devlin) Johnston. In her lifetime, MaryEllen held several jobs. She worked for the Philadelphia Electric Co., where she met her future husband. She later worked for the Council Rock School District, in addition to operating a thrift store with her longtime friend Carol Pritz.

In her spare time, MaryEllen loved to read and volunteered her time at her local library. She loved to walk her dog, Kody, and she enjoyed cheering on the Flyers and Phillies.

MaryEllen is survived by two sons, Glenn S. Hoffman and his wife, Sherry, of Blue Bell, and Robert P. Hoffman of Ivyland. She is also survived by her brother, Allan Johnston of North Wales, and two grandchildren, Brendan and Danielle.

She was preceded in death by her youngest brother, Robert Johnston, and her grandson, Zachariah R. Hoffman.

A Mass will be held on Monday, August 10, 2026, at Epiphany of Our Lord Church, 3050 Walton Rd., Plymouth Meeting, PA, at 10:00 a.m. The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service.

Interment will follow at 12:00 p.m. at St. John Neumann Cemetery, 3797 County Line Rd., Chalfont, PA 18914.
