Michael M. Murphy

Michael M. Murphy passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on September 1, 2022 at the age of 63. He was born in Philadelphia on June 24, 1959 to Benjamin and Mary Terese (O’ Flynn) Murphy. 

He is survived by his mother Mary Terese, four loving children Ryan (Karissa) Nanni, Timmy (Destiny) Renninger, Genevie (Zac) Knorr, and Christian Hazzard. One brother Ben (Lisa) Murphy, Four sisters Teri (Richie) Littlewood, Karen (Richie) Natalo, Diane and the late John Dzwil, and Joyce (Noel) Rosas. He is also survived by his loving grandchildren, Hunter, Chase, Lyla, Maximus, Harrison, Luca, Saige, Cienna, and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his sister Kathleen O’ Loughlin. 

A charming and fun personality, Mike could light up any room. He was often the life and entertainment of the party. He loved any game or competition, magic tricks, laughter, story telling and most important - spending time with his family and closest friends. Above all else, he cherished being a grandfather and was around his grandkids any chance he could be. 

Relatives and friends are invited to his memorial service on Thursday, September 8 at the Volpe funeral home located at 707 West Germantown Pike, East Norriton, PA from 9:30AM - 11:30AM, service to follow. Funeral arrangements are in the care of the Volpe funeral Home.
