Patricia A. Layman of Collegeville passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 2, 2022. She was 65 years old. Born December 23, 1956 in Norristown, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Eleanor (nee Wojnarowicz) DeFusco, and the beloved wife of the late Robert L. Layman.
Throughout her career as a teacher's aide and secretary at Methacton School District, she touched the lives of countless people with her positive attitude and helpful nature. This carried into her personal life through the strong bonds she made with both family and friends. Wherever Patricia would go, her infectious love of life made her countless friends. Even with her chronic health issues, she remained a beacon of strength and positivity. To many, she is an inspiration of resilience in the face of adversity that will live on in our hearts.
Patricia is survived by her two children: Justin (Kimberly) Layman and Ryan (Sarina) Layman; three grandchildren: Owen, Nora, and Casey (as well as a fourth on the way); sister Tori Greenover; and brother Frank DeFusco Jr. Many friends and family will miss Patricia.
A memorial service has been scheduled for Tuesday, April 12 at 11 AM at St. Eleanor Catholic Church in Collegeville. Family condolences will be held from 10 to 11 AM Tuesday at the church, with the burial following at Valley Forge Memorial Gardens.
Funeral arrangements are in the care of the Volpe Funeral Home, East Norriton. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Patricia may be made to the cancer and/or heart charity of your choice.
