Patsy Jo Kunzel

Patsy Jo Kunzel of Jefferson Apartments, Norristown passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 3, 2022 surrounded by loved ones.

Pat was born April 3, 1941 in Flint, Michigan.

She is survived by her three children; Sandra Lee MacPherson of Oak Ridge, TN; John E. Lloyd, Jr. (Margie) of Bricktown, NJ and Jeffrey B. Lloyd (Stacy) of Norristown, PA. She is also survived by five grandchildren (Andrew, Nicole, Alexandria, Jeannie and Jaclyn) and two great-grandchildren (Olivia and Nathan). 

Her first love was her children, her own and many others. She was an Emergency Foster Parent while living in NJ and helped to raise twenty-one foster children. In her later years, Pat worked with the local Foster Grandparent Program.

Earning a degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Pat was the housekeeping supervisor of the Carousel Hotel and also managed a McDonald’s restaurant while living in Ocean City, MD. Pat retired from Montgomery Family Practice after working many years in the Medical Record department. 

Pat was an avid writer of short stories and poetry, earning a National Poetry Award in 1988. 

Friends and family are invited to attend her life celebration on Saturday, November 12th at 1:00 pm at Christ Church, United Church of Christ, 1003 W. Marshall Street, Norristown, PA 19401.
