Phyllis (Petrino) D'Onofrio beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 14, 2024. She was 83.
Phyllis was the daughter of the late Fred and Frances (Cotteta) Petrino. She is survived by her loving husbandMichael D'Onofrio as well as her children, Ellen Lunden, Michele (Tim) McShea, Jack (Kathy) Whalen and Annette Paxson. Also survived by seven grandchildren BrianaCraig, Ashley Trier, TJ McShea, Kyle Whalen, KaitlynWhalen, Sadie Paxson and Lucas Paxson and seven great grandchildren.
Mrs. D'Onofrio of Blue Bell was a member of St. Helena Church. Phyllis was born in Norristown on May 29, 1941and was a graduate of Norristown Area High School. Phyllis enjoyed spending time with her family, vacationing in the Villas, baking Christmas cookies, trips to the casino, and cheering on the Phillies and Eagles.
Phyllis was also predeceased in death by her former husband, John Whalen and her brother James Petrino.
Family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, July 18 from 10:00 to 10:50 AM followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 11:00 AM at St. Helena Church, Blue Bell.
Burial will be at St. Matthew’s Cemetery, Conshohocken.
Family requests in lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
