Robert "Bob" A. Williams, 74, of West Norriton, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 18, 2024. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend.
Bob enjoyed traveling and taking daily walks. He was a skilled handyman and used his many talents around the home and helping others. Above all, Bob enjoyed spending time with his family and 8 grandchildren.
He was a Veteran of the United States Air Force, where he learned skills that carried over to his early career as a lineman with Verizon (Bell Telephone). He eventually earned his BS from Ursinus College and retired with Verizon as a network analyst.
Bob was also very generous with his time. He spent many hours helping coach little league and teaching inmates to read and get their GED. More recently, he volunteered his time serving and delivering food with the Lower Providence Presbyterian food ministry.
Bob was born in Norwood, Delaware County on October 9, 1949.
He was the son of the late Robert and Avis Williams.
Husband of the late Regina "Chickey" Williams.
He is survived by his two sons S. Robert (Nicole) Williams and Brian (Marita) Williams. Daughter Robyn (Doug) Miller.
Brother Paul Williams. Sofia, Luke, Scarlett, Andrew, Preston, Giana, Nolan and Parker.
The family is receiving relatives and friends on Tuesday, September 24 from 10 to 11 AM with services to follow at the Lower Providence Presbyterian Church located at 3050 Ridge Pike, Norristown, PA 19403.
Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
