Rosemary Giovinco

It is with great sadness to inform you that Rosemary (Czapla) Giovinco passed away on Sunday, June 16, 2024. She was 86 years of age.

 Rosemary resided and raised her family in King of Prussia, PA and retired as an Administrative Assistant for the Montgomery County Intermediate unit after 30+ years of employment. She was a devout catholic and faithful member of the Sacred Heart Church, Bridgeport, PA.  Most of all she cherished spending time with her extensive family whenever she could, and thoroughly enjoyed reading as well as painting. She was an avid Philadelphia Flyers hockey fan for more than 50 years and was a passionate soccer fan, watching as many professional English league games that she could every weekend.  There is nothing she enjoyed more however, than cheering on her children and grandchildren at soccer games, ice hockey games, baseball games, and wrestling matches whenever possible. 
 
Rosemary was born in Norristown on March 20, 1938,  and was the daughter of the late John and Florence (Tarlecki) Czapla. She was the wife of the late Phillip J. Giovinco, Sr.  

She was a graduate of Norristown High School. 
Rosemary is survived by her sons Michael Giovinco and wife Linda , Jack Giovinco and wife Jill, and daughter, Elizabeth Rio and husband James. Rosemary was predeceased by her eldest son, Phillip J. Giovinco, Jr.

 Her beloved grandchildren included Michael, Christopher, Melissa, Christina, Michael, Matthew, Holly and John (JT), along with two great grandchildren, Fiona and Cecilia. She also leaves behind her brother John Czapla and wife Mary.
 
The Family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, June 20 from 9:30 to 10:20 followed by a funeral Mass at 10:30 at Sacred Heart Church 120 Jefferson Street, Bridgeport.

Burial will be in St. Augustine Cemetery. Family request in Lieu of flowers that memorial contributions can be made in the form of Mass cards. Funeral arrangements are in the care of the Volpe Funeral Home, East Norriton.
