Salvatore M DeBunda

Salvatore Michael DeBunda, 83, of Blue Bell, PA, passed away peacefully on July 9, 2026. He is survived by his children, Lauren (Neil) Shank and David, his three grandchildren: Thomas, Daniel and Sky (fka Kathryn) Shank, his half-sister Patricia Bailey and half-brother Armando (Melisa) Roggio and his former wives, Susan Sheffield and Carol DeBunda.

Born in Philadelphia, PA on June 17, 1943, Sal graduated from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania in 1965, and the University of Pennsylvania Law School in 1968. He spent more than 50 years as a respected attorney and was known for his dedication to clients.  Some of the highlights of his long career include being a Co-Managing Partner at Archer & Greiner, P.C., President of the Pennsylvania Thoroughbred Horsemen's Association at Philadelphia Park, and a member of the Board of Directors and Chairman of the Philly Pops. Sal also founded a television show called, "Let's Go Racing" and was the Executive Producer of the weekly program.

As a thoroughbred horse owner and breeder, Sal loved horse racing and Philadelphia Park.  He also loved the Philadelphia Phillies, Eagles and Flyers, music, pasta, telling jokes and stories and spending time with his grandchildren.

Sal's family will receive relatives, friends and colleagues on Friday July 17 from 9:30 am to 10:30 am followed by a Mass for Christian Burial at 10:30 am in Saint Helena Church, 1489 DeKalb Pike, Blue Bell, PA. The family requests memorial contributions to the charity of your choice in lieu of flowers.
