Taylor "Ted" Stowell passed away on Sunday, January 1, 2023, he was 80.
Mr. Stowell of Plymouth Meeting was a retired Sergeant First Class from the United States Army. He honorably and faithfully served his country in Korea and Vietnam with the 2-2nd Infantry Regiment and later retired from the 1-104th Cavalry. Ted is a recipient of the Combat Infantryman Badge, Bronze Star Medal w/ “V” device for Valor, Purple Heart, Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, and numerous other awards and Decorations.
Ted later worked as a Service Manager in the automotive industry and as a school bus driver for the Lower Merion School District, he also enjoyed playing golf, bowling, movies, and most importantly, being a Pop Pop.
Ted loved his wife and his family more than anything. He was happiest when he could find ways to help his loved ones.
Ted was born in Philadelphia on March 20, 1942 and
was the son of the late Paul and Helen (McNally) Stowell. Husband of Rita (Caprice) Stowell.
Also survived by his sons, Sean wife Amber Malloy, and David wife Susan Stowell.
Daughter, Renee husband Raymond Tutt.
Brother, Gary (Kathy) Stowell, and sister, Bonnie (Eric) McMillan.
Nine grandchildren Matthew, Hannah, Luke, Mallory, Emily, Isabella, Nicole, Carmella, and Jackson.
One great grandson MJ.
Ted was pre-deceased by his daughter, Debbie Kay LoRusso, brother Paul Stowell and grandson John.
Ted's viewing will be held on Friday, January 6 from 9:00 to 10:30 AM followed by services at the Volpe funeral home 707 W. Germantown Pike at Whitehall Rd., East Norriton.
Burial will be in Saints Peter and Paul cemetery, Springfield, Delaware County.
Family request, in lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in his memory to your local SPCA.
Funeral arrangements are in the care of Volpe funeral home.
