It is with much sadness that we announce the death of Thomas Aloysious Seeberger, from E. Norriton, Pa., who passed away on Monday, January 26, 2026.
Tom was born on January 21, 1940. He was a graduate of Philadelphia Murrell Dobbins CTE High School where he was a member of the Cadet and JV Football teams, Cadet Track team and where he belonged to the A Capella Choir. After high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and served in the U.S. Army Signal Corps in Kansas, where he met his wife Nancy. Following his honorable service in the Army, Tom transitioned to a long-lasting career in banking. Committed to excellence, he completed numerous business courses at The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania and Brown University, until his retirement.
Tom enjoyed all types of music: He was a member of Saint Basil the Great Parish in Kimberton, Pa. and was in the choir for many years under the leadership of then-Music Director, Angie Jaworski. As a teenager he spent many happy days in the late 1950s harmonizing with friends on the street corner, bringing the Doo-Wop music alive which he so loved; he was also occasionally asked to sing at the Franklin Institute. Not known to many he enjoyed “cutting the rug” and was known to give the dance floor a serious workout!" He did a mean "cha cha cha" and "twist" and won a “twist” contest in his younger and more limber years!
While Tom loved and enjoyed many things his heart belonged to his Brittany Spaniel TJ, his soul dog. The pain of their separation and the silence after having to say goodbye was a loss that stayed with him. He always spoke of TJ with love, sometimes with humor, and always with deep affection.
Tom was an avid hunter and loved the outdoors, especially upstate Pennsylvania. He and his buddies, brother Franny and brother-in-law Bob, all outdoorsmen, lived for the thrill of the hunt, loved fishing "waiting for the big bass to strike" or just hiking. There were many times Tom sat in his tree stand (occasionally freezing), waiting for the "dream buck" to show up, watching a sunrise, or simply enjoying the moment.
A highlight of Tom's life was time spent on the baseball field helping to coach his son Timothy at KYAL (Kimberton Youth Athletic League). Whether practice games or championship games, he cherished the time spent with his son and mentoring other young players. He introduced Timothy to fishing at just four years old, sparking a lifelong tradition of fishing trips that continued well into his adult life, creating memories that will be held dear forever.
Tom was an Eagle's die-hard fan and never missed a chance to cheer the Eagles on. Occasionally he could be found yelling at the television if something went "south" but he always remained a loyal fan. He may have yelled at the TV or been disappointed after a game, but the one thing you could count on that he enjoyed more than anything, was when the Eagles beat Dallas!
He truly enjoyed being with his grandchildren Luna and Truman and was a dedicated supporter of his son’s and grandchildren’s special life events, performances and sports. Whether a music or dance recital, or on the soccer field or baseball diamond, he encouraged and cheered for them showing his love and support, helping to build their confidence.
For many years he and his wife were volunteers at Southeastern Veterans’ Center, in Spring City, Pa., and were active in the Friends of a Veteran Program and sponsored many veterans over the years. They helped to make others aware of the program's importance and found sponsors for the program. They also volunteered for Kimberton’s Meals on Wheels Program for many years .
Tom prayed daily for healing for women and men who were suffering because of abortion and especially for the victims of abortion. Tom felt strongly about this issue, and spoke out against it.
Tom is survived by his loving family, his dear wife, Nancy, his greatest blessing, son Timothy, his cherished daughter-in-law, Cindy Kim, and the joys of his life, his grandchildren, Luna and Truman. He was a loving and devoted brother to his siblings: Bettyanne, Antoinette, Rita, Sandra, and Tina, and his brother-in-law Bob, also to many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Aloysious and Sarah Seeberger, his sister Marie Haines and her husband William, his beloved brother Francis, and his brothers-in-law John Gebhardt, Earl Keller and Robert Gibbons, and his faithful friend, TJ .
Tom is at peace now, sadly and lovingly missed. He is safe, remembered, and loved forever.
