Victor Battaglia Jr.

Victor T. Battaglia Jr., 84, of Jeffersonville, passed away on Tuesday, March 25, 2025.

Born in Norristown on September 13, 1940, he was the son of the late Vincent and Melba (McDonald) Battaglia. Victor was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force and later retired as a letter carrier for the United States Postal Service.

Victor was a dedicated member of the Jefferson Fire Company in West Norriton Township for 67 years, where he served in several leadership roles, including assistant chief, apparatus chairman, and financial secretary. He also enjoyed being part of the Mannerchor Club in Norristown and was a founding member of the West Norriton Optimus Club. In his free time he  enjoyed bowling and golfing, and as a passionate fan of the Philadelphia Eagles, he was a season-ticket holder for many years. Victor was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Jacqueline “Gail” Battaglia, his son, Victor Battaglia, and his granddaughter, Leann Heschl. He is survived by his daughter, Debbie (Randy) Keehn; his brother, Don Battaglia; his sister, Kathy (Doug) Taylor; his grandchildren, Ashley, Geoffrey, and Randy; and his great-grandchildren, Richard, Jordan, Steven, Jovie, Malachi, and Reese.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a viewing on Saturday, March 29, 2025, from 9 to 11 AM, followed by a service at 11 AM at the Volpe Funeral Home, 707 W. Germantown Pike at Whitehall Rd., East Norriton. Burial will take place at Riverside Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Jefferson Fire Company or the Clark School for Hearing and Speech, 5414 Overbrook Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19131.

Arrangements are entrusted to the care of the Volpe Funeral Home.
