Ann Bondi, age 89, passed away peacefully at home under Amedisys hospice care on June 19, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family.
Born on September 4, 1935, in Coatesville, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late George and Anna (Liska) Chenger. Ann was the devoted wife of Joseph Bondi for 66 wonderful years, and the beloved mother of Louis, Joanne, and Connie.
Ann lived a life centered around family, faith, and service. She worked for many years as a switchboard operator at Bell Telephone, and also at Gotwals later serving students in the cafeteria at Eisenhower Middle School. She eventually retired from Gotwals and dedicated herself full-time to her role as a loving homemaker.
She had a warm, giving spirit and enjoyed simple joys—baking cookies for loved ones, playing bingo, and watching Phillies games alongside her husband. A lifelong parishioner of St. Patrick’s Church in Norristown, she was a woman of deep faith and unwavering devotion.
Ann was predeceased by her siblings Mary Ferko, Dorothy Abbonizio, Elizabeth McCarty, John Chenger, and George Chenger. She is survived by her brother, Paul Chenger of Coatesville, PA.
She is also survived by her husband Joseph, her children Louis, Joanne, and Connie—all of Norristown—who will forever cherish her memory. Ann's legacy of love, kindness, and quiet strength will live on in all who knew her.
Family and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass on Friday, June 27, 2025, at St. Patrick’s Church, 714 DeKalb St., Norristown, PA. A viewing will be held at 10:30 AM, followed by Mass at 11:00 AM. Interment will take place at St. Patrick’s Cemetery.
