Vincenzo Dello Buono, 78, of Norristown, passed away on March 29, 2026, at Jefferson Einstein Hospital, surrounded by the love of his family.
Born on March 12, 1948, in Montella, Italy, Vincenzo was the son of the late Giuseppe and Libera (DiLeo) Dello Buono. He carried with him throughout his life a deep pride in his Italian heritage, which was reflected in his values and his love of family.
Vincenzo built a life rooted in hard work and dedication. As a welder for many years, he was known for his skill, reliability, and unwavering work ethic. He took great pride in his craft and the relationships he formed along the way.
Vincenzo was an active member of Holy Saviour Church, as well as the Holy Saviour Club, where he formed lasting friendships and remained closely connected to his community. His presence there will be deeply missed.
Vincenzo found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He was an avid supporter of his favorite soccer team, Napoli, and rarely missed a match. He loved tending to his garden, and he enjoyed spending time playing cards with family and friends. He had a special affection for his grand “fur babies,” especially Tank, whom he spoiled endlessly and Angel whom he called Angie.
Above all, Vincenzo was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He shared 55 loving years of marriage with his beloved wife, Gerarda (DeMarco) Dello Buono, a partnership built on love, strength, and mutual devotion. He was a proud and loving father to his daughters, Assunta (Alberico) Valente and Doriana (Glen) Whitaker, and a cherished Nonno to his grandchildren, Nicholas, Steven, Vincent, and Brayden, who brought him immense pride and joy.
He is also survived by his loving sister, Maria Dello Buono; his many cousins, with whom he shared especially close and meaningful bonds; and his nieces and nephews, who will fondly remember his warmth and sense of humor.
In addition to his parents, Vincenzo was predeceased by his brother, Mario Dello Buono.
Vincenzo will be remembered for his very strong spirit, and his unwavering love for his family.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass on Tuesday, April 7, at 10:00 AM at Holy Saviour Church, 407 East Main Street, Norristown. A viewing will be held at the church from 8:30 AM to 9:45 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial. Entombment will take place in St. Patrick’s Mausoleum.
