William R. Keim Jr. passed away on Wednesday, June 21, 2023; he was 84.
Mr. Keim, of Audubon, was a retired letter carrier for the USPS with routes in Norristown and Eagleville. In retirement, he worked at Westover Golf Club as a Starter. Up until his passing, he still enjoyed a Monday round of golf with friends.
Bill was born in Norristown and was the son of Janet (Dougherty) Alison. He was blessed to have the guidance and support of his uncles, while he was growing up.
After High School, he joined the Air Force and was stationed in Germany for some time. Upon his discharge, he returned home and married the love of his life, Dottie Miller. They bought a home in Audubon, where they raised a family and lived until their deaths.
Bill and Dottie were blessed with three sons. He loved his boys, and especially enjoyed coaching them in various sports. They were also blessed with seven grandchildren – and would travel near and far to watch them compete and perform. Bill was true fan of all Philadelphia sports, especially the Eagles, where he and friends spent many a Sunday cheering on their favorite team.
Always a lover of music, after retirement, Bill joined the ReillyRaiders, a local drum and bugle corps. He loved traveling with the corps, and performing in parades and concerts. He was also a member of the Maenner-Chor Club. Bill and Dottie loved to travel and spend time at their favorite beach destination, Garden City, SC.
Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy (Miller) Keim, and a sister Betsy (Keim) Renner.
He survived by his three sons, William (Pamela), Andrew(Christia), and David (Kimberly)Keim, Grandchildren Tyler(Alex), Dustin, Jacob, Matthew, Alison, William, Lauren, andgreat-granddaughter, Elliott .
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Tuesday, June 27 from 9 to 11 AM, followed by Prayer services at the Volpe Funeral Home, 707 West Germantown Pike at Whitehall Rd., East Norriton. and interment at Riverside Cemetery, 202 S Montgomery Ave, Norristown.
