William H Parsons

William H. Parsons passed away peacefully on August 2, 2023.  He was 93.  Bill of Eagleville, PA, was born and raised in Philadelphia and was the son of the late Earl and Helen Parsons.  He was proceeded in death by his loving wife, Marjorie, brothers Earl and Donald, and sister Marian.  

Bill attended Olney High School then Lafayette College, where he earned a Bachelors of Engineering degree.  There he was a member of the Acapella Choir, which began his long singing career (tenor).  He sang in many church choirs and choral groups, some of which traveled overseas.  By day, he was a manufacturing engineer for many years and later a consultant for The Wharton School of Business of the University of Pennsylvania.  In his second retirement, he constructed quite an elaborate model railroad.  You require an engineering degree in order to run it.  He was also an avid sports fan, including the Phillies, Eagles and many of the local college football/basketball teams.

Bill is survived by his two sons, Wayne and Jim (Judy), daughter Marilyn,  grandchildren Brianna and Colton (Shelly), and granddog Tigger.  He was preceded in death by his daughter Elizabeth Anne. He was a true gentleman and will be greatly missed for his quiet wisdom and strength.  
 

Relatives and friends are invited to William’s funeral service on Thursday August 10, 2023 at 10:30 a.m at the All Saints Episcopal Church 535 Haws ave, Norristown PA. Condolences will be held from 9:30 to 10:15 a.m at the church.
