William J. Petitt Jr.

William J. Petitt Jr, 87, of Sea Isle City, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on May 9, 2023 in the home of his son. Miriam A. McSheffrey Petitt, 79, passed away on January 22, 2015. 

William served in the United States Coast Guard from 1953 to 1957. He was a local union 98 electrician for 25 years before retiring. He loved hunting, fishing and Philadelphia sports. Miriam was a manager at the Lansdale discount house for many years. She was a talented seamstress, enjoyed cross stitch, reading, and shopping.

They were married in September 1954. They are survived by their son, William John Pettit III and his wife, Pamela A. Petitt and their daughter, Patricia A Giovinco and her husband, James Giovinco. They had four grandchildren Pamela Engle (John), Nicole Repko (Ryan), William John Petitt IV and Jennifer Swney(Shaun) and four great grandchildren, Emma Repko, Mae Engle, Gabrielle Repko and Jane Engle.
