William J. Putera, 82, of Schwenksville, passed away peacefully on March 20, 2025, with his family by his side.
Born on December 18, 1942, in Edwardsville, Pennsylvania, to Paul and Josephine Putera, Bill was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He served proudly in the United States Navy Reserves and worked as a structural engineer, leaving behind a legacy of hard work and dedication.
Bill's passions were many, but his love for golf was unmatched. He also enjoyed bowling, was a lifelong Philadelphia Eagles fan, and cherished time spent at his Florida home. His greatest joy, however, was his family, whom he adored and supported throughout his life.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 30 years, Laura (Gaspari) Putera; three sons, William Putera, Stephen Dempsey (Rosemarie), and Ryan Dempsey (Cindy); daughter Christy (Nick) Putera; two brothers, Paul (Helen) Putera and Tom (Irene) Putera; and his sister, Mary Ann (Tony, deceased). Bill was also a proud grandfather to three grandchildren: Alex Berger, Marina Dempsey, and Mia Dempsey.
A funeral mass will be held at Saint Eleanor's Church on Friday, March 28, 2025, at 11:00 AM. Calling hours will be from 10:00 to 10:45 AM at the church.
Bill will be greatly missed by all who knew him, but his memory will live on in the hearts of those he loved.
