Obituary
William J. Schettone Sr. passed away on Thursday, March 31, 2022. He was 94.
Mr. Schettone was born in Norristown on May 2, 1927. He was the son of the late Nicholas and Catherine. He was the owner of the former Schettone deli, and was a butcher by trade from 1968-1997.
(Marchese) Schettone. William was the husband of the late Camille (Petruzzo) Schettone.
He is survived by one son William J. Schettone Jr. and one daughter Clorinda Hook (Kenneth),
Five grandchildren Christopher and Stephen (Hook), William III, Zachary and Nicholas (Schettone),
Six great grandchildren Zoey, Natalie, Anthony and Giovanni (Hook) - Elliana and Charlotte (Schettone).
Predeceased by two brothers Philip and Joseph as well as two sisters Elizabeth and Mary.
An evening viewing will be held on Wednesday from 6PM to 8PM at Volpe Funeral Home 707 W. Germantown Pike, East Norriton.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing along with the funeral mass on Thursday, April 7 at Visitation BVM Church - 190 N. Trooper Road, Norristown PA. Thursday’s Viewing will take place at 9AM through 9:45AM Mass begins at 10AM
A Private Internment ceremony will take place on a later date at Washington Crossing National Cemetery - 830 Highland Avenue, Newtown PA
Funeral arrangements are in the care of the Volpe Funeral home.
