William "Bill" Moriarity of East Norriton, passed away on Saturday, January 13, 2024 at the age of 94.
Bill was a retired Instrument Technician for General Signal. He was UAW union officer and employee advocate who successfully negotiated lifetime health and pension benefits for employees.
Bill’s favorite activities included playing golf, antiquing, watching old movies and spending time with family. He was a dedicated Phillies and Eagles fan.
Bill was born in Conshohocken, on May 21, 1929 was the son of the late John J. and Annabell (Clark) Moriarity.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 71 years, Carmella (Garafano) and his cherished dog Susie Q, his children
William Moriarity Jr., Michael (Diane) Moriarity, Jeannie Moriarity and Beth (David) Nicholson, his
11 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, his brother
Charles Moriarity and many nieces and nephews.
Family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday, January 17 from 9:30 to 10:30 AM followed by prayer services at the Volpe funeral home 707
W. Germantown Pike at Whitehall Rd., East Norriton. Burial will be in St Patrick cemetery.
Family request memorial contributions can be made in Bill’s name to the American Lung Association.
Funeral arrangements are in the care of the Volpe funeral home.
