Josephine (Lenhart) Walker

On July 13, 2016, Josephine (Lenhart) Walker went to be with the Lord.  Jo Walker was a life long resident of Norristown and active member of St. Paul's Roman Catholic Church.  Josephine was a devoted mother and wife of 63 years, to William Walker, Jr.  

She was born on April 11, 1931, the daughter of the late Nicholas and Rose (Perna) Lenhart.  She was loving, generous, and kind to everyone she knew. She was loved by all. She enjoyed going to the beach and down the shore where she spent time with her family.  She was a great cook and famous for her homemade pizza. She loved gardening, especially growing her own tomatoes. She was selfless in her care of her family.  One never left her home empty handed, more than likely with a gift of Italian cookies. She was the best mom in the world and its hard to imagine life without her.

Josephine is survived by her husband and three sons: William (Karen), Ronald (Susan) and Kenneth (Donna). She also leaves behind three sisters: Theresa Wiszumerski, Margaret Reese and Kathleen Nave, Nine grandchildren: Jessica, Kenneth, Ronald, Catherine, Anabel, Laura, Adam, Kevin, William, and many nieces and nephews.  She joins her three brothers Albert, Thomas, and Nicholas Lenhart and her sister Anna Wyrwas who are waiting for her in heaven.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral mass on Tuesday, July 19th at 10 a.m. at St. Paul's Church in Norristown, with her viewing from 9 to 10 a.m. before the Mass. In lieu of flowers, her family requests your prayers and mass cards.  

Funeral arrangements are in the care of the Volpe funeral home, Norristown.
